Step 1: Check your non-profit can use Good Numbers

You can use the Good Numbers cash book app if your organisation:

is a registered charity or incorporated society; and
expects to spend $140,000 or less most years; and
is not registered for GST.

If your organisation does not meet these criteria, or you are not sure, please talk to Duncan before signing up. There may still be another way we can help.

Step 2: Check if your bank supports us

Sign up with confidence if you bank with:

✅ TSB
✅ Heartland
✅ Cooperative bank
✅ Rabobank

Good Numbers connects securely to your bank through Akahu. Learn more about how we securely connect to your bank account.

Bank with ASB or BNZ?

You may be able to connect your organisation’s account if you can see and fully access it through your personal mobile banking profile. (Business banking logins do not work ☹️ )

Bank with ANZ or Westpac?

ANZ and Westpac do not currently support connections to accounts that require two signatories.

We recommend checking with Duncan before registering. You have the option to manually upload bank statements.

Most organisations can regularly upload bank statements instead. This works well for:

The big banks while we wait for them to be compatable. (we can switch you to a direct connection once they are!)
Smaller banks and building societies such as First Credit Union and Nelson Building Society.
Other accounts that cannot connect through Akahu.
If you prefer not to connect your bank account with Akahu.

We can add support for statement files from most banks.

Duncan will help with your first large import. After that, you can upload new statements yourself as you go.
