Introducing the Good Numbers Tier 4 Tool

I'm excited to be able to share today the first offering from Good Numbers, and that's the Good Numbers Tier 4 Tool. The Tier 4 Tool is a free offering for Tier 4 charities, which lets you create a set of financial statements from your bank statements.

It's super easy to use. Just enter your charity number, upload some bank statements, and a few minutes later, you get a beautifully presented set of annual accounts in a Google sheet, ready to go. The Google sheet is totally editable. You get to control the final statements. I'm really excited that this first offering is something we can do for our small charities across Aotearoa.

Why did we do this?

Well, if you didn't know, about 6,500 charities did not complete their annual returns in 2023. And I know a lot of that is about the challenge of preparing financial statements. I've been there myself. So this tool is about trying to alleviate some of that burden. Trying to just make it a bit easier.

I'd really love you to try it out. Please give it a go and then let me know how it goes. If it works for you, please share it with others. I think this could be a great new way for charities to meet their compliance requirements in Aotearoa.
