Akahu provides an easy, seamless, and secure way for Good Numbers to retrieve your transaction information directly from your bank. However, if you choose not to use Akahu or can't for some reason, you can also manually upload your bank transactions in the CSV format (Comma Separated Values format) to the Good Numbers App for ANZ, ASB, BNZ and (coming soon) Westpac. This guide provides instructions on retrieving CSV files, covering all the major New Zealand banks.

General Export Instructions (most banks)

  1. Log in to your internet banking using a web browser.
  2. Select the account you want to export transactions from.
  3. Look for a tab or button such as View Transactions, Search and Export, Export Transactions, or Download.
  4. Choose your date range — for example, 1 April to 31 March.
  5. Select the file format as CSV
  6. Click Export or Download.
  7. Save the file to a location you will remember (e.g. Desktop or Downloads folder).
