I’ve spent 20 years working and volunteering in community organisations. During that time I’ve often found myself in the treasurer’s seat — or otherwise responsible for the finances of small non-profits — a role that so often goes unfilled until someone reluctantly steps in.
As I shifted from working within small organisations to supporting them, I kept asking myself: “Surely there’s a better way to handle the basics, like preparing financial statements?”
Good Numbers grew out of that question. It’s been a vision of mine for the past few years, and thanks to the advice, encouragement, and support of others, it’s now becoming a reality.
