A Quick Walkthrough of the New Good Numbers Self-Service Tool

We’ve just released a new way for small charities to prepare their financial statements — a self-service tool that’s fast, secure, and simple to use. Here’s a quick look at how it works.

Step 1: Start on the Good Numbers homepage
Head to the Good Numbers website and open the self-service tool.

Step 2: Enter your details
Type in your charity number, select your organisation, and enter your email address. Your email is important — it ensures you’ll be able to access your statements later.

Step 3: Connect securely to your bank
Once you hit Generate, you’ll be redirected to Akahu, our secure banking partner.

• Choose your real bank (we’re showing the demo bank here).
• Log in with your usual username and password.
• Complete any two-factor authentication, if required.

Step 4: Select your accounts
Tick the accounts that belong to your organisation, then click Confirm. This securely shares your transaction data back to Good Numbers.

Step 5: Let us do the heavy lifting
Our system processes and codes your transactions automatically. This takes a few minutes, but once it’s complete your draft financial statements are ready.

Step 6: Review your statements
Click the link, open your financial statements, and they’re ready for your review — well ahead of filing with Charities Services.
